American-Owned CRG Highlights Bosaso’s Investment Potential as U.S.–Puntland Security Ties Deepen
American-owned CRG highlights opportunities in logistics, infrastructure and local employment as U.S.–Puntland security cooperation expands.

Contract Resources Group (CRG)
American-owned Contract Resources Group (CRG) is promoting Bosaso as a strategic hub for security cooperation, logistics and infrastructure investment, as Puntland’s expanding relationship with the United States draws attention to the city’s commercial potential.
In a LinkedIn post, Nathan Ertel highlighted Bosaso’s position along the Gulf of Aden and its proximity to the Arabian Peninsula, Red Sea and Bab el-Mandeb. He presented growing U.S.–Puntland cooperation as an opportunity to strengthen regional security while developing infrastructure, trade links and local employment. (ae.linkedin.com)
That cooperation includes the bilateral security agreement announced by Puntland’s presidency on August 2, 2026, following talks between President Said Abdullahi Deni and a U.S. delegation led by Major General Claude Tudor, commander of Special Operations Command Africa. According to the presidency, the agreement provides for expansion of the U.S. military facility in Bosaso to support counterterrorism operations and maritime security. Further talks in late August focused on advancing plans for the base and strengthening joint security efforts.
CRG is positioning its services around the infrastructure and operational needs associated with Bosaso’s growing strategic role. The privately held company describes itself as an American-owned consultancy and operational support business, with headquarters in the Washington, D.C./Virginia area and overseas headquarters in the United Arab Emirates. Its services range from project planning and construction to logistics, workforce training and support for military and civilian facilities. (crgroupinc.com, linkedin.com, crgroupinc.com)
The company says it has a licensed presence in Puntland, supported by local partners, personnel, infrastructure and heavy equipment. It is offering governments and international contractors support throughout a project’s development, from initial planning and construction to daily operations, maintenance and handover. Its recruitment activity also points to an interest in operational support. A separate advertisement sought a programme and contract manager to oversee food services and base-support operations in Puntland, including meal production, food safety, logistics and workforce management. The advertisement did not name the client or disclose a contract award. (so.linkedin.com)
